Anabel Chavva, MSc, MA, is the program manager for the Well Connect Program at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV. Well Connect is a vital initiative that connects individuals and families to essential community resources like food, utility assistance, clothing, job training, and employment services. Under this program, medical students lead the effort, identifying available resources and providing personalized support to those in need. The experience not only ensures community members receive the assistance they deserve but also strengthens the students’ advocacy skills and cultural awareness.

Chavva is a dedicated advocate with extensive experience in higher education, having served as UNLV's HOPE Scholars Program Coordinator for eight years and co-founded the Take What You Need Program (now the Basic Needs Program). She earned a bachelor's degree in political science and communication from Saint Mary's College, a master's degree in international relations from the University of Edinburgh, a master's degree in media and international conflict from University College Dublin, and a master's degree in cybersecurity from UNLV.

Born and semi-raised in Las Vegas, Chavva is passionate about giving back to the community she calls home. Outside of work, she is a wife and mother who enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, exploring various national parks, watching anime, and embracing all things nerdy.
