Biography
Alejandra is a first generation citizen and graduate student raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. Growing up in a desert town, she has a profound love for air conditioning, cold beverages and neon signs. Alejandra is a first year, second semester MA student with interests in leisure, ethnicity and gender studies. Most of her research interests are inspired by the resilience of single mothers and the issues working-class communities have to face. As a first gen student, Alejandra’s aim is to make the works of academia accessible and relatable for working-class communities.
