Professor Toyoharu Nawa is a professor at the Graduate School of Engineering of Hokkaido University, Sapporo, Japan. He obtained his doctorate in Civil Engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology.

His research focus is construction materials science and concrete chemistry and engineering. He has authored over 100 scientific papers and published 7 books. He is a holder of 20 patents related to his research expertise. He has received multiple awards for his contributions to his field of research and scholarship.
