Biography
Dr. Nicole Hudson is a nationally recognized leader in workforce development, adult learning, and the future of work. As Executive Director of Lifelong Learning at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), she leads strategic initiatives that connect education to evolving labor market demands—expanding access to non-credit programs, microcredentials, and career pathways for adult learners. With over 30 years of experience in higher education, Dr. Hudson brings expertise in organizational leadership, human resources, and instructional innovation.
She has held key roles at UNLV, including as Executive Director of Workforce Education and Associate Director of Campus Relations for UNLV Online, where she led pandemic-era faculty training and developed the university’s Online Teaching Competencies. She is certified as a Senior Certified Professional in Human Resources (SHRM-SCP), a Certified Workforce Development Professional (CWDP), and a Certified Program Planner (CPP).
Dr. Hudson is a frequent speaker, strategist, and advocate for equity and access in lifelong learning. She serves on Nevada’s Displaced Homemaker Board, contributes to statewide workforce efforts through Workforce Connections, and teaches at both undergraduate and doctoral levels. A Leadership Las Vegas graduate and faculty for Educause’s New Manager Institute, she is passionate about co-creating inclusive learning ecosystems that empower individuals, strengthen communities, and bridge the gap between education and employment.
