Description

First course in advanced direct social work practice. Integrates skills of assessment, interviewing, intervention, and termination into social work treatment models and theories. Builds upon generalist foundation. Highlights empowerment, client advocacy, and strengths perspective. Emphasizes social work with individuals from culturally diverse and oppressed populations. Corequisite: Enrollment in SW 739. Prerequisite: SW 730 or advanced standing.
