Description

Focuses on big data analytics concepts, tools and methods within the business environment. Explores big data principles and information technology innovation in organizations. Includes multiple tools and statistical concepts related to the contemporary analysis of big data.

Students will use a platform that connects student groups with companies that they can partner with for class projects. The cost is $50 per student to participate.In addition to the materials listed on the bookstore webpage, this course requires a Mac or PC computer, a webcam, a microphone, and an Internet connection for successfully completing this class. The webcam and microphone may be built into your computer or may be an external camera and microphone. Chromebooks are not compatible for this class.This is an Internet class; refer to Canvas instructions at https://unlv.instructure.com.Students who have not submitted immunization records and students who have accepted online-only agreements are not eligible to enroll in classes with any in-person requirements.
