Description

Introduction to the history of international film, its structure and terminology. Development of cinematic techniques from Edison, Lumiere, and Melies to prevailing contemporary trends surveyed, with special emphasis on major directors such as Eisenstein, Ford, Griffith, Lang, Hitchcock, Bergman, and Renoir.
