Description

Methods of instruction and assessment for primary grade readers and writers. Designed to help teacher candidates acquire knowledge and strategies related to literacy development and engagement through classroom application, reflection, analysis, and implementation of lessons with diverse learners. This course is crosslisted with EDRL 442. Credit at the 500-level requires additional work.

Prerequisites

Passing of Praxis Core: Reading 156; Writing 162; Math 150
