Description

Introduction to a broad range of tax concepts and types of taxpayers, including corporations, pass-through entities, and sole proprietorships. Emphasizes the role of taxation in the business decision process, and provides students with the ability to conduct tax research, compliance and planning. This course is crosslisted with ACC 410. Credit at the 600-level requires additional work.

This is an asynchronous web class with occasional on or off campus meetings. See the class schedule for specific meeting dates and times.
In addition to materials listed at the bookstore, this course may require the use of an electronic device (e.g., desktop or laptop computer) that includes a web camera, microphone; and is compatible with Lockdown Browser
& Respondus Monitor Software. (Chromebooks do NOT meet this requirement.)

*During online exams / quizzes students may be required to provide a video
of their exam environment. Only the room where the exam is taken needs to
be recorded. If students do not wish to provide a video of their personal
residence, they may take online exams / quizzes at an alternate location.
For example, in a UNLV computer lab, or a public library or other public
facility that provides internet access, and meets testing requirements.*
Students who have not submitted immunization records and students who have
accepted online-only agreements are not eligible to enroll in classes with
any in-person requirements.
This course will be taught concurrently with undergraduate course ACC 410.
