History and Program Statistics

The master of health physics program was approved in 1995, with medical physics being an integral part of the curriculum since 2000. The medical physics option received CAMPEP accreditation in August 2011. In addition to a rigorous didactic curriculum, the program offers clinical experiences through a number of affiliate sites including Intermountain Cancer Centers in Utah. The current program director is Steen Madsen, PhD.

The first applications for the CAMPEP-accredited program were received during 2012. Relevant statistics are presented in the tables below.
