Student employees who work during winter break must be degree-seeking and enrolled in at least one credit hour for the spring semester by Dec. 31.

If a student is not enrolled for spring or is graduating, end employment on the last day worked (no later than Dec. 31) or convert the role to a temporary hourly position effective Jan. 1, 2026.

Please review upcoming employment end dates. If an employee needs an extension, submit an Edit Job. If the employee will not continue, submit an End Job or Termination.

Winter Break Schedule

Student employees may work up to 8 hours per day and up to 40 hours per week from Dec. 14 through Jan. 18.

You do not need to update the FTE in Workday.
