Jun. 17, 2026

Human Resources (HR) is pleased to announce the Rebel Job Framework will officially launch on July 1. The framework is the result of Rebel Future, a four-year initiative to create a more consistent and transparent approach to classifying similar administrative faculty positions across the university, such as business analysts and communication professionals. It included multiple phases and required feedback from many managers, supervisors, and employees.

The Rebel Job Framework introduces a standardized structure including:

  • Rebel Title – The official HR classification title, which may differ from a business or working title.
  • Career Stream – Identifies the role as either an individual contributor or a manager/leader.
  • Career Level – Defines the position based on the scope and complexity of responsibilities.

Please note that compensation structure review is a future phase of the project. Implementation of the Rebel Job Framework will not result in automatic salary adjustments.

Information and Training Sessions

To support this transition, HR will host information and training sessions throughout June and July. See below for more details.
