Pride Month

June is Pride Month and a good time to raise awareness to the challenges facing members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, or asexual (LGBTQIA) community.

One of the ways to show support and understanding is by fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone feels welcome, respected, and valued.

ComPsych’s diversity and inclusion resources include:

  • Helpful tips for “coming out”
  • In-depth knowledge of the “ASK” model for valuing diversity
  • Educating colleagues on LGBTQIA issues
  • Cross-cultural communication and why it is important

Visit the ComPsych website and register using the Web ID: UNLVEAP to access additional resources on mental health.
