Planning and Construction values your partnership in maintaining a safe, accessible, and cohesive campus environment. By following university guidelines for space modification, furniture, fixtures, and building finishes, you help protect our facilities and support spaces that will serve the campus community for years to come.
Before making changes to your space, please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Coordinate all space modifications, including painting, wall coverings, flooring, and other permanent changes, through Planning and Construction. Be sure to obtain approval from your department leadership.
- All work must be completed by a vendor on the approved NSHE Supplier Registration List.
- Order and install only university-approved furniture and fixtures to promote consistency, safety, and compliance.
- Use furniture as intended to extend its lifespan and reduce damage.
- Keep furniture in its designated location. If your space requires changes, contact Planning and Construction for assistance.
- Display artwork and decorative items only with approved mounting methods that protect walls and building finishes. Never put nails or screws into a wall.
- Report any damaged or deteriorating conditions promptly so repairs can be addressed before they become larger issues.
