Accounts Payable has transitioned to check printing services to Wells Fargo, resulting in changes to check picking up and special handling procedures. For the vast majority of checks, there have been minimal changes to the process or how it is managed. The Wells Fargo checks are mailed directly from their check printing facility on Tuesdays instead of being processed on campus. See below for details:
Special Handling (Check pickups, FedEx overnight etc.)
Please continue to contact Racquel Rodriguez at racquel.rodriguez@unlv.edu for any special handling. The final date for any check pickups at the Campus Services Building (CSB) is Tuesday, June 23.
Fiscal Year 2027 (FY27)
- Beginning FY27 the on-campus check printing system will be discontinued.
- Checks will no longer be available for on-campus pickup the same day.
- Checks that must be picked up will need to be coordinated with Accounts Payable to be overnighted back to campus from Wells Fargo and then can be picked up from CSB.
- This option will be reserved only for checks with a critical business need, and any FedEx charges will be the responsibility of the requesting department.
- Checks that need to be mailed with supporting documents (such as invoices, statements, or other PDFs) can be processed through Wells Fargo check printing, ensuring the related documents are printed and mailed together with the check(s).
- For checks requiring this service, please coordinate with Racquel by noon on Mondays.
- International Addresses
- For any checks with an international address, these will be automatically shipped via FedEx and the related charge will be the responsibility of the requesting department.
- Candidates
- For candidate travel expense reimbursements paid by check, please ensure the candidate’s Workday profile is updated with their complete mailing address before submitting the expense report.
