Calling all UNLV colleges, departments, and offices to join us in recognizing our first-generation students, faculty, and staff.

Once again, this year's celebration will be campus-wide. We will celebrate and recognize our first-generation students, faculty, and staff under the general theme of "We Belong! First-Gen Strong!"

The deadline to submit first-generation celebration activities for the 2025 celebration week is Oct.17, 2025. All university colleges, departments, units, and organizations are encouraged to recognize and celebrate the experiences of our first-generation students and colleagues.

How to join in:

• Block off Nov. 3 - 7 on your college, department, or organization calendar

• Save the Date: First-Generation Celebration Breakfast: Friday, Nov. 7, 2025 -10 AM - 11:30 AM/Tam - Marietta Tiberti Grand Hall

• Communicate with your students, faculty, and staff to identify first-generation members in your college, department, office, organization, or floor who would like to participate

• Decide how your area can celebrate first-generation stories and accomplishments. Check out last year's list of events for exciting ideas here. Events can be virtual or in-person based on university guidelines

• Enter your plans here by Oct. 17, 2025, to be included on the campus-wide calendar
