If you’ve ever thought about presenting your research or creative work at an academic conference, we have the perfect opportunity for you! Your UNLV Honors College is hosting the 2026 Western Regional Honors Council (WRHC) Conference, April 9–11, right here on campus.

WRHC is a student-centered academic conference that brings Honors students, faculty, and administrators from across the 13-state Western Region together to share ideas, showcase research, explore creativity, and connect.

Because we are hosting the 2026 conference, all UNLV Honors College students who present will have their WRHC registration fee waived. This makes participating more accessible than ever, and we hope many of you will take advantage of this unique hometown opportunity.

Call for Proposals

WRHC is now accepting student proposals for oral presentations, workshops, and poster presentations. To be considered, submit a title for your presentation, a 300-word abstract, and select the presentation type that best fits your project.

Proposals should thoughtfully connect to the conference theme, Battle Born: Crossroads and Opportunities, but do not need to explicitly reference it.

Proposal Deadline: November 30, 2025
