Spring 2026 Election Timeline (AY 2026–2027)

GPSA elections are your chance to make an impact. Below are the key dates for the upcoming GPSA Executive Board Officer Elections (President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary). Officer terms begin May 1, 2026 through April 30, 2027. All times are Pacific Time (PT).

Declaration of Candidacy

• Filing Period: March 9 – March 22, 2026
• Vetting Period: March 23 – March 25, 2026
• Candidate Notification: March 25, 2026 (by 6:00pm)
• Public Announcement of Candidates: March 26, 2026

Campaigning

Campaign Period: March 26 – April 8, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.

Candidate Presentations

April GPSA Council Meeting: Thursday, April 2, 2026, 5:30pm-7:30pm
Candidates will present their platforms in a 3-5 minute speech and Q&A during the meeting. 

Voting

Voting Opens: Thursday, April 2, 2026
Immediately following adjournment of the April GPSA Council Meeting (approximately 7:30 p.m.)

Voting Closes: Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.

Cast your ballot online through the UNLV Involvement Center. Voters will be asked to log in using their ACE account.

Results

• Ballot Count: April 9, 2026
• Election Certification Meeting: Friday, April 10, 2026 (Elections Commission signs election certification document.)
• Results Posting Deadline: No later than April 15, 2026
