Below are the key dates for the upcoming GPSA Executive Board Officer Elections (President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary). Officer terms begin May 1, 2026 through April 30, 2027. All times are Pacific Time (PT).
Declaration of Candidacy
- Filing Period Closes: March 24, 2026 11:59pm
- Vetting Period: March 24 – March 26, 2026
- Candidate Notification: March 26, 2026 (by 6:00pm)
- Public Announcement of Candidates: by March 27, 2026
Campaigning
Campaign Period: March 27 – April 8, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.
Candidate Presentations
April GPSA Council Meeting: Thursday, April 2, 2026, 5:30pm-7:30pm
Candidates will present their platforms in a 3 minute speech and Q&A. GPSA Council meetings are open to the public.
Voting
Voting Opens: Thursday, April 2, 2026 at 7:30 p.m.
Voting Closes: Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.
Voting will begin immediately following adjournment of the April GPSA Council Meeting (approximately 7:30 p.m.) Cast your ballot online through the UNLV Involvement Center. Voters will be asked to log in using their ACE account.
Results
The Elections Commission will meet to certify the election results. Results will be posted no later than one week after the close of the election, April 15, 2026.
