Join us at this year's Community Engagement Expo where we will celebrate the university's recent Carnegie Community Engagement recertification by highlighting UNLV's Carnegie-defined academic community partnerships!

  • Date: Tuesday, March 31, 2026
  • Time: 11:00 am to 2:00 pm
  • Location: UNLV Tam Alumni Center

The purpose of community engagement is the partnership of college and university knowledge and resources with those of the public and private sectors to enrich scholarship, research, and creative activity; enhance curriculum, teaching and learning; prepare educated, engaged citizens; strengthen democratic values and civic responsibility; address critical societal issues; and contribute to the public good.

Visit the Poster Session to learn about academic community partnerships UNLV's students, staff, and faculty are engaged in. Through a partnership between the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost and the Office of Government and Community Engagement, one full-time UNLV employee who engages with Poster Hosts will be selected to have their registration fee and up to $2,000 in related travel costs for November's Coalition of Urban and Metropolitan Universities (CUMU) Annual Conference sponsored.*

Learn about several of UNLV's "Carnegie 15" community partnerships directly from the UNLV community partners, students, staff, and faculty involved in these partnerships.

And, be the first to hear about a new community engagement grant initiative kicking off in April which was developed in response to feedback received from UNLV faculty, staff, and students.

Lunch will be provided during the event, and registration is required to attend. Space is limited.
