May. 9, 2025
This weekend (May 10–11), Facilities Management (FM) may intermittently shut off water, including bathrooms, eyewash stations, and drinking fountains/bottle fillers, on Saturday and Sunday between 5 a.m.–8 a.m. and 9 a.m.–1 p.m. This will affect the following buildings as part of an effort to improve UNLV’s underground domestic water mapping:
- Richard Tam Alumni Center (TAC)
- Archie C. Grant Hall (GRA)
- Alta Ham Fine Arts (HFA)
- Judy Bayley Theatre (JBT)
- Artemus W. Ham Concert Hall (HCH)
- Advanced Engineering Building (AEB)
- Thomas T. Beam Engineering Complex (TBE) - Buildings A&B
- Sidewalk Cafe
- William D. Carlson Education (CEB)
- Holbert H. Hendrix Education Auditorium (HEA)
This work, which involves opening and closing underground valves to each of these systems, is essential to improving emergency response protocols and is intended to be done with minimal disruption to weekend operations.
Contact Mike Bailey if FM needs to be made aware of anything that would significantly impair your operations.
