Welcome to the FY27 budget season and our new budgeting system, Workday Adaptive Planning!
Users who have completed full model training, see the FY27 Training and Support Calendar, will be provided “edit” access to the End User Dashboard in Adaptive today. As users attend full model training, they will be assigned to “edit” access.
FY27 Budget Version
The FY27 budget has been prepopulated in Adaptive--you will be adjusting the budget to prepare your final FY27 budgets. The initial FY27 budget in Adaptive is the original FY26 budget for each account, plus original budget amendments; then adjusted for applicable step increases for classified positions and the proposed FY27 fringe rates.
FY27 Budget Version (Practice)
A practice version of the FY27 budget will be released today and can be used to practice familiarizing yourself with the Adaptive dashboard to prepare your budgets.
Training and Support
We understand that Adaptive is a new system for all of us and becoming proficient will take time and practice. FPBA and our Workday Adaptive consultants, Avalar Advisors, will be providing continuous training and support throughout the budget season. We had a short time in which to develop the UNLV Adaptive model and this is just the starting point for UNLV’s model development. Preparing the FY27 budget in Adaptive will present an opportunity to learn the system, as well as to identify how it can be improved. We look forward to your feedback throughout the process.
In addition to training sessions, FPBA will offer open lab times daily, M-Th. This week, due to scheduled training sessions, open lab time will be one session each day from 2-4 PM, beginning tomorrow, March 24.

These open sessions are an opportunity to have your specific questions answered and to obtain whatever assistance you require in preparing your FY27 budgets. All open lab sessions are on the FY27 Training and Support Calendar.
FY27 Budgets Due May 1, 2026
FY27 budgets will be due to FPBA on May 1, 2026. Please be aware that internal divisional deadlines will vary and you will need to check with your divisional and others in your department/unit to ensure all Department-College-Divisional approvals are completed such that your fully approved budgets are submitted in Adaptive by the May 1, 2026 date.
State Budgets
The state budgets for professional schools will be prepared by professional school central staff. All other state budgets will be prepared by divisional designees, or FPBA. You will be notified separately if you have been assigned responsibility for adjusting your state budget, or some component thereof.
State reallocations for DRAM units are due to the Office of Academic Resources on April 15th.
