Updated on 9/17/25 to include NIH:
Starting October 10, 2025, any PI/Co-PI or senior/key personnel planning to submit a proposal to the National Science Foundation (NSF) (Important Notice No: 149: Update to NSF Research Security Policies) or the National Institutes of Health (NIH) (Implementation of NIH Research Security Policies) are required to complete research security training (RST) within 12 months prior to submitting a proposal. The NSF has provided a condensed version of their RST training that is designed to meet the government-wide RST requirements in Section 10634 of the CHIPS and Science Act of 2022 (42 U.S.C. § 19234). To that end, NSF, NIH, DOE, and DOD all recognize completion of the condensed module as compliant with their respective RST requirements. The training can be completed in about an hour, although this may vary.
Be sure to complete the RST training module in REBELearn.
