We are gathering interest in participating in a NSF Faculty Early Career Development Program (CAREER) Proposal Development Cohort  designed to support investigators preparing NSF CAREER submissions or resubmissions for the upcoming deadline, July 22, 2026. 

This cohort will offer structured feedback coaching, guidance on proposal development, and redline review of proposals. Participation will be limited to investigators intending to submit a NSF CAREER in this cycle.

If you are interested, please complete the Notice of Interest form in the InfoReady portal. The form includes preliminary questions to help us understand your experience and readiness for the upcoming cycle. These are not eligibility requirements—rather, they help us design a cohort best suited to participant needs.

• Have you previously applied to any NSF programs? Please list.

• Have you previously applied to the CAREER?

• Please describe the directorate to which you will be applying.

• Please identify the section or cluster to which you will be applying [formerly called divisions].

• Briefly describe the scientific research/objectives you will propose to NSF.

• Do you have any preliminary data or publications in this line of research?

• Briefly describe the education plan/objectives you will propose to NSF. Please describe your target audience(s), planned activities/initiatives, and any campus support you've secured.

• Have you met with your Program Officer to discuss your application [e.g. post-mortem following declination; conversation about alignment for the FY27 competition]?

• Have you met with your Chair regarding your intent to apply to the CAREER?

• What questions do you have regarding your CAREER application?

Deadline to complete the notice of interest form: April 3, 2026, 11:59pm. The cohort would be selected quickly by mid-April to work with our partners, McAllister & Quinn.

Please note that space is limited, and we may not be able to accommodate all interested participants. Decisions of support will be based on readiness to submit and funding availability.
