Once again, a cohort of UNLV Film students has traveled to France for the 78th edition of the Festival de Cannes as they participate in the International Film and Business Program of the American Pavilion.

Considered the most prestigious and important film festival in the world, the Festival de Cannes and American Pavilion have hosted UNLV Film students for over 25 years thanks to generous support from the Brenden-Mann Foundation.

Students in attendance volunteer with international sales and distribution companies as part of the parallel Marché du Film where films from around the world are bought and sold.

Students are placed with the entertainment industry's largest and most influential buyers, sellers and representatives to learn the ropes of the business of the international film trade.

Since its debut at the 1989 Cannes Film Festival, The American Pavilion has served as a hospitality and communications hub for the thousands of Americans attending the Cannes Film Festival and Marché, providing an facilities and services for the international film community, provocative and insightful programming for festival attendees, and the Emerging Filmmaker Showcase featuring many filmmakers who go on to illustrious careers themselves.
