The Department of Educational Psychology, Leadership, and Higher Education is pleased to announce it will host its first Research in Action event on Thursday, October 22, 2026 from 5pm to 7pm. At the Student Union in (Ballroom C).

Description:

Research in Action brings together UNLV faculty, alumni, and graduate students for a series of fast-paced, engaging talks exploring research in educational psychology, leadership, and higher education — and how that research is being used to address real-world questions and challenges.

Attendees will hear about current research, meet people who have turned graduate study into meaningful careers, and discover master's and doctoral degree paths they may not have considered. The evening will conclude with an opportunity to connect with speakers, students, faculty, and others interested in making a difference through education.

Research in Action is designed especially for students who are curious about graduate school, research, education, leadership, policy, student success, or careers that create meaningful change. No prior knowledge of educational research is needed.

Admission Information:

Admission is free and the event is open to all UNLV undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members. Registration is encouraged. Check in at the door to the event.
