Abstract: This fact sheet examines data from “Record State Budget Reserves Buffer Against Mounting Fiscal Threats,” a 2023 Pew Charitable Trusts report on rainy day fund balances of U.S. states. Data includes information on the strength of rainy day funds and total balances for each Mountain West state: Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, and Utah.
