Graphic Design Bootcamp is a 12-day intensive program that introduces students to the principles, history, and real-world applications of graphic design. Students will learn why and how graphic design is used as they create their own projects with industry-standard software. Topics include photo and image editing, vector illustration, basic typography and typesetting, and print and publication layout and production. The camp will culminate in a capstone project that showcases each student’s new skills and knowledge.
Basic computer skills, such as using word processing software, are required, and experience with the Mac operating system is preferred. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is helpful but not required, since students will learn the basics during camp. All Adobe software and Mac computers will be provided in one of our newly equipped classrooms.
