We distributed a Campus Operations Update newsletter satisfaction survey from July 9-23, 2025. Thank you to everyone who shared their feedback. We received 48 viable responses. Please see below for the findings from the survey and actions we'll take to support the feedback we received.
Overall Satisfaction
90% of survey respondents would recommend the Campus Operations Update website and newsletter to a colleague. This is the highest satisfaction rating since implementation in 2020. Respondents provided the following comments about the newsletter:
- It keeps everyone informed about key updates across departments in one place.
- It's short and sweet, especially considering our busy lives.
- I appreciate the connection to the "operations" side of campus. I frequently find out things I never knew before, and I feel more connected ("in the know") with the campus community.
Key Findings
- 52% of respondents like receiving the newsletter on a weekly basis.
- Respondents used a scale of 1-5, with 5 being excellent and 1 being poor, to rate the following categories:
- Overall quality: 4.3
- Appearance: 4.35
- Readability: 4.35
- Relevance of topics: 4.1
- Ease of navigation: 4.39
- 60% of respondents want to see more information about training and professional development opportunities
- 54% of respondents want to see more Human Resources updates
- 52% of respondents want to see more Administration Services updates
Recommendations
We will make the below adjustments to the newsletter based on this feedback:
- Highlight upcoming training sessions and link to comprehensive training calendars from various areas including Risk Management & Safety.
- Partner with Administration Services teams to regularly include reminders about compliance requirements for their areas.
- Work closely with Human Resources to find opportunities to amplify their updates.
