UNLV’s designation as a Hispanic-Serving Institution solidifies its commitment to providing opportunities to people from all backgrounds. First-generation student Citlally Lopez takes pride in the research opportunities she has seized as a Rebel. With a $20,000 award in hand, Citlally is poised to revolutionize cancer research and contribute significantly to finding the cure. Lopez, a Latina, first-generation college student is the first recipient in UNLV history to receive the prestigious Pfizer fellowship.
