Wonda Riner is the Executive Director of Information Technology for the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV, a position she has held since 2016. As the first IT employee for the School, she has built a shared services department that supports the academic, administrative, clinical, and research missions of the School.

Wonda has played a key role in the school’s development, she and her staff continue to build-out the technical infrastructure to support the school, its 15 medical clinics, and more than 1,200 faculty, staff, students and residents. Her leadership was evident as she coordinated 5,000 man-hours in 3-weeks to support the start-up of UNLV Medicine. In 2017, Wonda was named one of the executives in Las Vegas by Vegas Inc. and Cox Business.

During her more than 17 years at UNLV, she has served on numerous University committees including the UNLV Faculty Senate, University Bylaws Committee, Administrative Faculty Committee, Technology Review Board, and Top Tier Sub-committee on Business Processes. She lead the initial implementation of a campus-wide course management system, participated in the creation and support of the Nevada Learning Network and Faculty Collaboratory, oversaw an implementation of Digital Measures Activity Insight, and revised business processes surrounding tenure and promotion, annual evaluations, conflict of interest reporting and more.

Riner received her MBA from Saint Francis University and her BS from Pennsylvania State University.
