Professor Jones’s research focuses on different views of explanation in the sciences and in the social sciences. His most resent studies have focused on the role of stories in causing and explaining behavior. He has degrees in Anthropology and Cognitive Science, as well as philosophy. He is the author of the book, What people believe when they say that people believe: Folk sociology and the nature of group intention.
