Biography

Rob Levrant serves as the Senior Director of Community Education and Enrichment. In his role, Levrant leads non-credit workforce development education, serves as the director of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UNLV, and provides leadership to other strategic initiatives and fundraising for UNLV Lifelong Learning. His research focuses include workplace mentoring and professional knowledge, and learning in retirement. Rob also teaches Educational Psychology and Quantitative Research Methodologies.

Levrant brings over three decades of experience in problem-solving through facilitation, coalition building, community engagement, and adult education. Before joining UNLV's Division of Educational Outreach, he worked for eight years as a Neighborhood Outreach Specialist and Planner for the City of Las Vegas. In that role, he developed large-scale volunteer projects, managed senior citizen programs, developed a quantitative measure for neighborhood stability that removed bias impacting high-need neighborhoods, and created innovative educational initiatives including an afterschool STEM and robotics program for at-risk youth.

Earlier in his career, he served as Director of Housing and Residence Life at Rocky Mountain College, where he coordinated statewide efforts to reduce substance abuse on college campuses and led successful legislative initiatives to enhance public safety.
