Necole Leland earned her bachelor’s and master’s in nursing from University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She has 13 years of experience in the clinical setting focusing on various pediatric populations in the inpatient and outpatient setting.
Leland is currently a clinical instructor and lecturer for UNLV School of Nursing and teaches in the undergraduate program. She serves as the course lead for the undergraduate pediatric course and clinical sections, and has taught other courses including health assessment, fundamentals, community, communications, and preceptorship.
A pediatric nurse practitioner, Leland has various experiences in pediatric nursing. Her graduate course work focused on pediatric cardiac diseases, namely Complex Cyanotic Congenital Heart Disease, which included Hypoplastic Left Heart Condition, Ventrical Septal Defect and Mitral Valve Stenosis.
Leland completed a post-master’s certificate in nursing education at UNLV in 2013, is certified in the specialty of pediatric nursing from the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board, and is working on her Doctor of Nursing Practice in Educational Leadership.
