Biography

Megan Cogliano is a visiting assistant professor in the educational psychology, leadership, and higher education department. She earned her Ph.D. and master's degree in educational psychology at UNLV and her B.A. in psychology from Nevada State College.

Cogliano has taught undergraduate and graduate level courses in research methods, which includes instruction of experimental and quasi-experimental designs, survey methods, phenomenological research methods, basic statistical methods for psychology and educational data (e.g., descriptive statistics and probability distributions), and advanced statistical analysis (e.g., inferential statistics and multiple regression).

Cogliano's research focuses on self-regulated training interventions emphasizing metacognitive monitoring of learning strategy use in online learning environments.
