Biography

Lucas Brust's varied education from across the United States has provided him with experience in virtually all areas of the music business; ranging from operas, symphonies, and musicals to jazz, salsa, Brazilian, and Caribbean ensembles. Most recently, Lucas’s international performances include The Fringe Festival in Adelaide, South Australia, and the Festival des Anches d’Azur in La Croix Valmer, France. Recently, Lucas served as Assistant Director of Bands and Instructor of Percussion for Jones County Junior College and the Maroon Typhoon marching band in Ellisville, Mississippi.

Born and raised in Wichita, KS, Lucas Brust holds two bachelor’s degrees from Wichita State University (B.M. in percussion Performance, B.M. – Jazz Studies); and a master’s degree from the University of Southern Mississippi (M.M. in music Performance, Minor – Music Theory); and is completing his doctor of musical arts degree at the University of Nevada: Las Vegas (D.M.A.).
