Katie Beckett started her dance journey at the young age of 3. Since then, she has been training in various different dance styles such as ballet, modern, jazz, contemporary, and choreographic composition. Beckett danced competitively for 6 years, gaining lots of performance experience as well as many opportunities to work with different choreographers. She graduated from Las Vegas Academy of the Arts in 2017 as a dance major and decided to continue her education at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. After 4 years of training and performing with UNLV Dance, Beckett graduated with her bachelor of fine arts degree in dance performance and choreography and a minor in Pilates. 

During her time with UNLV, Beckett danced and performed a plethora of times, and also showcased her choreographic works in multiple dance concerts. Beckett also assisted the Pilates III classes at UNLV during the 2020-2021 academic year. Throughout the years, she has not only learned these dance styles and their history but also how they apply to the functioning human body. She now utilizes this acquired dance experience and knowledge by applying it to her Pilates classes at UNLV.
