Erin Zimmerman has been the director of the Writing Center at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas since July 2020. She is the founder and managing editor of Center Moves: A Peer-Reviewed Archive of Tutor Training Materials, a scholarly venue for the research and pedagogical work relevant to writing center tutor training. Her most recent publication is a co-authored piece titled "Centering MENA Writing Scholarship within U.S. Transnational Frameworks" in MENA Writing Studies Journal (Spring 2026).

Prior to UNLV, she was an assistant professor in the English Department and director of the Writing Center and Writing in the Disciplines Program at the American University of Beirut. She completed her Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Professional Communication at Iowa State University in 2016 and her MA in English at Appalachian State University in 2008 where she worked in the Writing Across the Curriculum and Composition programs.
