Biography

Captain Sledge is the recruiting officer and instructor at UNLV Air Force ROTC Detachment 004.  Captain Sledge earned his commission in 2015 after an 11-year enlisted career through Officer Training School. He is a cyber operations officer & nuclear missileer with over 2,000 nuclear hours in the Minuteman III nuclear weapon system and over 200 sensor operator flight hours in the RQ-170 Sentinel. He and the teams he led broke ground in the MQ-9 Reaper enterprise by delivering new weapons and tactics to the warfighter and introducing the Cyber Mission Defense Team concept to the remotely piloted aircraft operational test environment. He has gathered a variety of experiences through his Air Force Career. He is currently serving in his sixth Air Force Specialty. These specialties included service as a member of the United States Air Force Presidential Honor Guard. Much of his career has been guided by USAF requirements such as aircraft maintenance, presidential service operations, aircraft operations, nuclear operations, communications, acquisitions, and test and evaluation of new Remotely Piloted Aircraft and combat capabilities.
