Chad Doerr, Psy.D, CMPC

Biography

Dr. Chad Doerr is a licensed psychologist in Nevada. He joined UNLV as the Director of Counseling and Sport Psychology Services for Athletics in April 2022. In his role, Dr. Doerr provides mental health counseling, performance enhancement/mental skills training for the UNLV Student-Athletes. Prior to coming to UNLV, Dr. Doerr was an Athletic Psychologist for the University of Nebraska, Lincoln.

Dr. Doerr graduated from Feather River College in 2009 with an associate's degree in liberal studies. He then went on to earn a bachelor's in psychology from the University of Nevada-Reno in 2012. Dr. Doerr earned his master's degree in sport and performance psychology from the University of Denver in 2014, and his doctorate in clinical and school psychology, with an emphasis in sport psychology from James Madison University in 2018. Dr. Doerr was a doctoral intern for UC Davis Student Health and Counseling Services with an emphasis in sport psychology.
