Bucket Manyweather (They/Them/Theirs) is an educator, poet, and academic who believes social justice and community building are the founding blocks of personal and social development. Bucket holds a Masters of Higher Education Student Affairs from the University of San Francisco (USF). They have taught Ethnic Studies courses at California State University East Bay and at San Francisco State University (SFSU) in Race and Resistance Studies. They were provided the honor of teaching a core course for the new Queer Studies minor at SFSU. Bucket has served as a Student Engagement Specialist for both the Black Unity and Pride Centers of the Division of Equity and Community Inclusion at SFSU. Currently, they are working on their Ph.D. in Higher Education and studying the implementing of California Assembly Bill 1460, the requirement of Ethnic Studies in the CSU.
