Andrew A. Ortiz graduated with a bachelors in psychology and a minor in neuroscience. Andrew is interested on how glial cells and chronic neuroinflammation affect neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease. Additionally, his research aims to understand how Diabetes (Type II) exacerbates Alzheimer’s pathology. His mentor is Dr. Jefferson Kinney.
