Description

Frequency distributions, descriptive statistics, elementary probability; Bernoulli, binomial, and normal distributions; statistical sampling, estimation, and hypothesis testing. Less mathematical treatment than STAT 411. STAT 491 cannot count towards any major or minor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences. This course is cross listed with STA 691. Credit at the 600-level requires additional work.
