Description

(Same as LAS 444.) Analysis of the history of Latinos beginning with the Spanish exploration of the New World, the resulting cultural encounters and emergence of a mixed frontier populace, and the present social, economic, and cultural roles of Latinos in American society. This course is crosslisted with HIST 644. Credit at the 600-level requires additional work.
