Description

(Same as LAS 228.) Survey of the historical development of Spanish and Portuguese America from the independence movements, c. 1810 - 1825, to the present day, including an examination of the countries' differing approaches to dealing with the social, economic, political and cultural legacies of Iberian colonialism.
