The Campus Operations Update satisfaction survey was distributed between August 23 and September 13, 2023. Here are the findings from the survey, what has changed since last year, and recommendations to improve the newsletter. 

Overall Satisfaction 
73% of survey respondents would recommend the Campus Operations Update website and newsletter to a colleague (a slight decrease from last year).

Respondents commented that the newsletter:

  • Is a good way to keep up with what is happening with other departments
  • Keeps me informed and up-to-date and is quick and easy to read
  • Provides a good overview of the major things happening outside my own division
  • Offers classes and encourages participation in events 

Key Findings

  • 70% of respondents reported wanting to see more training and professional development opportunity updates
  • 50% of respondents reported wanting to see more Human Resources (HR) updates
  • Respondents rated the quality, appearance, readability, relevance of topics, and ease of navigation for Campus Operations Update 4.46 out of 5 (up from 4.29 in 2022)
    • The highest average score was 4.56 for “ease of navigation” 
    • The lowest average score was 4.3 for “relevance of topics” 

Recommendations
To improve the user experience, we will:

  • Highlight training and professional development opportunities updates prominently 
  • Work closely with HR to find opportunities to amplify their updates
