Project PUEBLO
May. 8, 2023

On May 3 and 4, students in the inaugural cohort of Progressive Understandings of Emergent Bilingual Learner Opportunities, also known as Project PUEBLO, presented their action plans.

The two-day mini-conference saw teacher leaders presenting ways they intend to advocate, shape policy, and build school capacity to support emergent bilinguals better. The action plans included recommendations like using translanguaging to aid content learning, creating academic language related to content area expertise, exploring families' areas of knowledge, and other topics taught in the master's program. These students who showcased action-oriented culminating projects have qualified for the specialist in ELAD endorsement and will now complete the accelerated one-year master's degree in English language learning.
