What brought you to UNLV?

I really enjoy working with students and I like the culture of learning within a university setting.  I especially appreciate the commitment to diversity at UNLV.

What do you look forward to working for UNLV?

Since research topics are often guided by the lived experience of researchers, minority populations tend to be systematically excluded from conducting and participating in research. I’m excited to see how UNLV being a minority serving institution (MSI), will impact the type of research I’ll get to review as well as the researchers I will get to interact with.

What brought you to UNLV?

I really love the vision and mission statement of the institution and I was drawn by the passion of the team to innovate and build out the university.

What is the most Vegas thing you do?

I haven’t lived in Vegas, but I did live in Phoenix for several years. The most Phoenix/Vegas thing I did was keep a case of water and oven mitts in my car at all times!
