In September 2022, a request for proposals was sent to alumni for a new seed grant program. While there were no specific criteria for the projects submitted for review in the application process, the review panel was tasked with celebrating bold work, representing big ideas and further promoting the mission of the College of Fine Arts:

"The College of Fine Arts, a creative nexus anchored within the vibrant and diverse culture of Las Vegas, boldly launches visionaries who transform the global community through collaboration, scholarship, and innovation."

Forty-two applications were received, and after much deliberation the ten alumni artists selected to receive the 2022-23 UNLV Fine Arts Alumni Seed Grants have been notified:

  • Griffin Stanton-Amiesen (Theatre '10)
  • Amanda Ghanooni (Art '05)
  • Spencer Baker (Music '00 '04 '16)
  • Lisa Ferris (Theatre '10)
  • John McVay (Art '22)
  • Mikayla Whitmore (Art '10)
  • Grayson Orr (Film '15)
  • Erin Drew (Art '22)
