Salvatore Biazzo, Senior Staff Physician, UNLV FAST Clinic

Dr. Biazzo earned his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ, where he also served as Chief Resident. He has been practicing Family Medicine in Las Vegas since 2001. He joined UNLV in 2007 and is currently the Senior Staff Physician of the Student Health Center and Faculty/Staff Treatment (FAST) Center. He has addressed healthcare disparities within the UNLV community by starting the Transgender Care Team and providing ongoing cultural competency training for the Student Wellness Center Staff. He has promoted Best Practices Guidelines inclusive healthcare at UNLV and on the state level through his participation in the Nevada Coalition for Sexual and Gender Minority Healthcare and Nevada Gender Affirming Healthcare Project. Dr. Biazzo has been a member of the Student Affairs Diversity Training Committee and served as a facilitator at several Cultural Leadership Retreats. He has been an active member of both the UNLV Biomedical and Socio-behavioral IRB Boards since 2007.
