    The new Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Health Sciences at UNLV, one of the first offered in the Western United States, is an innovative approach to healthcare research.

  • Dr. Lee Named JOSPT Reviewer of the Year Award

    Dr. Szu-Ping Lee received the 2015 Reviewer of the Year award from Journal of Orthopaedic & Sports Physical Therapy (JOSPT). Dr. Lee, who has served as a reviewer for JOSPT 18 times since 2013, earned the award for consistent excellence in three distinct areas: willingness to conduct reviews, insightfulness and constructiveness of the reviews, and promptness of turnaround.

    Congratulations to PT Students Karen Daun, Alexa Standerfer, and Suzenna Ngo who earned an Honorable Mention Award in the Science and Health Science category of the Graduate and Professional Student Research Forum for their work "The Effects of Locomotion-Induced Shock Loading on Tibiofemoral Bone Stress Injury."

    U.S. News and World Report ranks program 79th in 2016 Best Grad School Survey.

    The department is part of a $20.3 million grant from the National Institutes of Health focused on putting clinical health research into practice and on addressing regional health concerns, such as access to care, cancer, obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular and infectious diseases.
